THUNDERBOLT LACROSSE ELITE TEAMS

ELITE TEAM TRYOUTS | SUMMER 2015

The vision of the Colorado Thunderbolts is to provide a resource to the local lacrosse community through clinics and travel teams. We focus our efforts in three main areas – Improvement, Competition and Exposure. With that in mind, we value practice time with high regard as this is the most effective and efficient time to teach and learn the game from our top level coaching staff. Ultimately, as our players advance we will want to showcase them to the college recruiter in hopes of playing at the next level. Improve every day, compete with the best, get the exposure to the college recruiter.  We will be fielding teams at the high school (2016, 2017, 2018) and youth (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022) levels.

How are the teams chosen?  January tryouts!

Teams will be chosen after two separate skill instruction sessions specific to age and ability level. Each session will focus on a different skill set and build on the previous session’s lesson beginning with individual skill instruction, advancing to position specific instruction, and building to team concepts focusing on offense, defense and in transition situations. Each evaluation/clinic date will be an opportunity to learn. The Thunderbolt Lacrosse Staff believes in developing talent at all positions and at all levels. While ability to listen, learn, execute, and develop as a player are all factors to be considered; intensity, excitability, and being a good teammate will also be key factors for being a Thunderbolt team member.
